Below you will find a general list of services and materials that are included in many of our programs. As these programs differ from one another in many respects (ie. Italy vs. Australia, Internships vs. Volunteer, Adventure Travel vs. Teaching English), each respective program generally includes some specifics that may not be mentioned herein. Please review the detailed information provided for each respective program and consult our Program Coordinators to determine precisely what is and is not included in our Program fees.
Customer Service and Program Counseling

Global Experiences aims to provide consistent and easy access to our program representatives and onsite staff in each of our program locations. From the point of initial inquiry we will work to devise a program structure ideal for meeting the needs of each respective candidate. We will provide a wealth of information for each participant relative to their program structure and location, including details regarding language training, intern or volunteer placement, accommodations, meals, local culture, getting around, travel arrangements, and any other information relevant to your program.
On Location Staff

Each program participant will be put in direct contact with our local staff in each program location prior to departure for the host country. Many of our on location staff are natives to the host country and therefore provide invaluable insight to the local area and culture. The program participants will have constant access to our on location and administrative staff throughout their program should they (or their parents or academic advisors or other) have any questions or concerns regarding any aspect of their program.
Housing & Meals Assistance

Many of our programs include accommodations and/or meal options. For those programs which do not include accommodations and meals, our staff will provide assistance to find the most affordable and acceptable options available. Again, our on location staff are extremely helpful in helping us foreigners get locals prices.
Obtaining University Credit

Many Global Experiences' program participants have successfully earned university credit for completion of our programs. Though we do not currently offer transferable credit directly through Global Experiences, we can help facilitate credits on an individual basis working directly with students and their academic departments and advisors. Please click here for more information regarding university credit.
Predeparture Information Pack

All program participants will receive a predeparture package of information relevant to their program choice and location. This will include general information about the program, the location, accommodations and meals where applicable, contact information for our offices and staff on the ground, information regarding internship/volunteer placement and language training where applicable, passport and visa information, what to wear, local climate, culture shock, local customs, health & safety, excursions available, and more.
Discounted Airfare

Through a special relationship with Student Universe, Global Experiences is able to provide discounted airfare for our program participants. As travel expenses vary considerably throughout the year, it is virtually impossible to include these costs in our collective program fees. Student Universe can generally offer rates considerably lower than one could find independently due to the relationship with Global Experiences so be sure to inform them you are coming from Global Experiences.
Travel Insurance

Global Experiences includes travel insurance for each one of our participants. Through our special relationship with AIG Travel Guard, a leading provider of travel insurance, we are able to provide you a standard level of coverage at no extra cost along with an option to add-on additional coverage.

Trips & Excursions

Many of our programs in various locations provide access to weekend getaways and other excursions, trips and tours of around the local area. Some of these excursions are pre-planned and depend on the program location while others are arranged according to the interest of the participants. For example, some of our Florence interns recently went on a weekend trip to Venice, not a bad way to spend a weekend. Please check with our program coordinators to learn more about tours and excursions available in your program location of choice.
Miscellaneous Extras

Some programs include a few miscellaneous extras depending on the program and its location. For some programs, we provide Lonely Planet ® guides and maps to the city or country hosting the program while others may get a Global Experiences Tshirt or other promotional items. If you have an idea for some 'extras' you would like to see from Global Experiences, please feel free to let us know.
