This special program provides a unique opportunity to become immersed in the heart of Italian culture, learn its lovely language, and live in one (or two) of the most culturally significant and vibrant cities in the world.
For our 8 week program, you have a choice between 4 weeks of Italian language training in either Rome or Florence each followed by our 4 week TESOL Certificate course in Florence .
In the fall, we have a 6 week option in Florence with 2 weeks of Italian language training.
The combination of courses and locations is designed to expose you to the best that Italian culture has to offer while providing you with the tools necessary to become an active participant in Italian life and not just a tourist.

Italian Language Training
 Each program begins with 2 or 4 weeks of full time intensive Italian language training in a group environment with other program participants and independent students from around the world. These fully accredited courses in Rome and Florence are provided by two of the top Italian Language training institutions in Italy.
All levels of Italian training are available. You will take a brief assessment on the first day of class so that you are placed in the level most applicable to your abilities.
TESOL Certificate Course
The TESOL Certificate course component of the program in Florence is provided by TEFL International, a world leader in ESOL teacher training with thousands of graduates who have taught English in over 50 different countries worldwide. Language Training in Rome:
You will live in a private room in an apartment with a landlord or landlady. Depending on the size of the apartment, you might live with other students in the program.
TESOL Course in Florence (following language training in Rome):
You will live in a private room in an apartment with other students from the TESOL course or nearby schools. Some of our apartments are also rented by Italian students who attend the Universita degli Studi di Firenze. You will have shared use of the bathroom and kitchen.
6 or 8 Week Program in Florence:
Your accommodation will be in a single bedroom in a shared apartment located in one of the residential areas of Florence . Most apartments have 3 to 5 bedrooms, and you will share a bathroom and kitchen.

Mobile Phone
For use during the program in Italy, Global Experiences provides you with a mobile phone which can be shipped to your house before you leave the country. Your program fee covers the phone rental, and you only pay for the minutes you use and can monitor your usage online. The plan also includes:
